After a failed business venture and the collapse of my marriage, I had no idea of what to do with my life. My calling found me as I got back to my roots of serving people in a big way.
Since my late teens, I’ve always been interested in real estate, but back then, my dream was to become a professional bowler, and I did! That’s right—I loved the game and pursued it with everything I had. I learned what it takes to compete at a high level –– many hours of practice and commitment –– and I proved to myself that I could do it by winning a PBA Title in 2009.
But as much as I loved bowling, it didn’t provide the kind of lifestyle I wanted, which became evident when my first marriage fell apart. I knew something had to change in my life, but I really didn’t know where to turn.
I tried a business venture with friends. We placed 8 racing simulators inside a school bus and took it to racing events, birthday parties, and festivals. It was a bold and exciting idea, but perhaps too ahead of its time as it didn’t work out. There was conflict with my business partners, relationships fell apart, and once again, I found myself unsure of my next step. It was frustrating, but there was no other choice but to keep moving forward.
That’s when my interest in real estate resurfaced and, in 2016, I got my real estate license. Almost immediately, I realized I loved the profession—not for selling, but for helping people get what they wanted. The job aligned with my values, and it didn’t feel like a typical sales job.
Although I’d found my calling, the first year was tough—really tough. I lived off a diet of Beanie Weenies and Ramen noodles while crashing on a friend’s couch. No restaurants, no extra spending, just an extremely humble life. I couldn’t properly provide for my oldest son, and any parent knows how stressful and frustrating that experience is. Still, I didn’t quit. I embraced the struggle and focused on helping people, day after day, no matter how hard it got.
Slowly but surely, my patience and persistence paid off. People started seeking me out and much of my business came from word of mouth. Today, 92% of my clients are referrals or repeat customers. I’m humbled by the loyalty and trust my clients place in me. I still see myself as nothing special, but seeing people trust me with one of the most important decisions of their lives, and then refer me to their loved ones, is truly an honor.
Since 2019, I’ve been married to my wife Sarah, and we live on our farm with Easton, Henry, and Hollis, our children. Sarah and I were set up on a blind date where we were invited to a get-together with mutual friends that included three married couples and the two of us. It was obviously a success as we’ve been together ever since. My personal relationship with Jesus permeates every aspect of my life. I’m incredibly grateful for my salvation and my church family. I’m also an avid outdoorsman. I’ve traveled all across the U.S. to hunt and the wild game I bring home is a staple of my family’s lifestyle.
Looking back, I’m amazed at how far I’ve come with my business. My parents always provided a great life for me, but there weren’t a lot of “extras” growing up, and I always wanted to provide my family with anything and everything I possibly could. I’m proud to be that provider for them now. My “embrace the suck and keep going” mentality has gotten me through every tough moment. Now, I positively impact people’s lives through my business. For that, I’m incredibly grateful.
I love helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership. Many think they can’t own a house, but with the right support, they can. My goal is to empower clients, guide them through the process, and make things as easy as possible. Whether it’s paperwork or tough decisions, I’m here to help.
Honesty is at the heart of my work. I won’t push a deal if it’s not in the client’s best interest. I’ll point out property issues and have honest conversations, even when the truth is hard to hear. Radical honesty protects my clients and ensures they make wise decisions.
I’m also an encouraging REALTOR®. I cheer clients on, nudge them toward great opportunities, and focus on solving problems instead of dwelling on them. If we encounter an issue, I will always work to find a solution.
Real estate is emotional, and I’m here as a listener, advocate, and cheerleader. Whether it’s knowing when to stick with a property or move on, I offer guidance every step of the way. It’s about more than buying or selling—it’s about building trust and achieving goals together.
Sincerely,
